Final Lifbee Academy 2023/2024
Check out the recording of the BioInnovation Awards – Final of the 4th edition of Lifbee Academy, during which 21 young scientists, entrepreneurs, and innovators took on 2 challenges and, over the course of 4 months, developed 7 business ideas, showcasing the immense potential of new medtech and environmental innovations.

The winning teams of the Enviro and MedTech Labs received a total of €10,000 at the Finale for the development of their projects.
The solutions that the teams focused on in the two Labs were:
Enviro Lab with the topic "Utilizing biotechnology tools to create an environmentally sustainable food system based on the principles of the circular economy."
MedTech Lab with the topic "An innovative approach using biotechnology tools aimed at filling technological and innovation gaps in achieving the potential of personalized medicine and health prevention."

Medtech Lab Jury:
Marián Kulich – VP of Clinical Supply Chain Operations at the successful global contract research company SanaClis, which conducts full-service clinical trials at the European and international level.
David Stíbal – Vice Director of i&i Prague, a bio-innovation center focused on pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, MedTech, and other Life Science areas in which i&i Prague invests and supports product development.
Michal Nešpor – Partner at the investment platform Crowdberry and CB Investment Management. He has over 16 years of experience working with startups and investing in them both as an investor and a founder.

Enviro Lab Jury:
Katarína Kretter – Director of the Communication at ENVI - PAK, the largest producer responsibility organization operating in the field of environment and sustainability.
Igor Pipíška – Manager of the Research and Development Center within the Envien Group, one of the largest groups in the CEE region working in biofuel production.
Martin Šebesta – Environmentalist and researcher in environmental geochemistry, and laureate of the 2023 Science and Technology Award in the category of Slovak scientist under 35.
